Inspiration

What inspired us to do this project is the ongoing issue in the community about sexual harassment and assaults faced mostly by women. These women are literally scared to death to report these issues as society tends to put a negative stigma on victims of sexual assault claiming that it’s the victim's fault and not the aggressor, so this is what inspired us to carry out this project idea!

What it does

It is anonymous -able to share personal assault experience freely without worrying about identity- It is effective -victims would feel that it's practically all right to share personal experiences as there are many women out there who are facing assaults too- 24/7 Support -contact information on where to seek help- having a community of empowered women as a shoulder to lean on- News Announcement If there is a news update on the website. The update will be announced via notifications.

How we built it

We coded it using PHP language on visual studio code and we discussed the web design together! For the slides presentation and logo, we created them on Canva!

Challenges we ran into

We only have two big problem. One, since we’re from different country our problems is time conflict. It was hard to find a time where all of us are free to talk about project. By the way, we found the solution in the end, by talking about project in chat where we can answer whenever we’re free instead of talk via zoom or call. Second and the last, one of our team mate are not showing in any team meeting and she rarely answer the texts. She’s not cooperating in anything and show zero attention in our project. This project made by three member instead of four. We have a lot more work to do. Well, even though it’s hard when number of teammates reduce by one, but we pass through it by helping each other in the end.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud that our website can be a safe place for girls to express their experience and acknowledge that they're not face their problem all alone. They still have us no matter what, We have each other back. And that is the society our website will create.

What we learned

Not only we learned how to cooperate and work with other people no matter how different our time are, and even we don't know each other before. We also raised our awareness about what woman face in everyday basis and why we should get rid all of that issues.

This website is the great way for girls to express their experience and feeling. We might develop this website to be a real website for the sake of girls and women around the world.
