For our project, we made a platformer game which is voice-controlled instead of being controlled by a keyboard. The game was made this way so that it is more accessible to people with disabilities such as missing limbs or paralysis.
While the game is not outstanding for entertainment, its true purpose is shown in the text which appears as the player progresses which encourages other game designers to also make more accessible games. It spreads awareness about people with paralysis and disabilities that prevent them from enjoying video games.
The game is most closely related to the social aspect of accessibility. In a world where people who cannot use their limbs due to possible disabilities can also enjoy video games, they can feel more included and accepted into society.
