Inspiration

Growing up every member of our team struggled with public speaking. Speaking in group settings, to professionals, and on big stages were all extremely challenging. We determined that the core issue was a lack of personalized practice. While some individuals may be able to higher speech coaches and professionals, the vast majority of individuals do not have ready access to such resources. To alleviate this challenge we created Voice Coach, an accessible personalized Self Improving AI agent that gives instant, objective feedback to user's public speeches so you can improve faster.

How it is Self Improving as an AI Agent

After giving you initial feedback, recurrent attempts will be more personalized. By taking in the metrics from your previous attempts, Voice Coach will show you how you improved over time as well as what to focus on in the future.

What it does

Voice Coach listens to you in real time and scores things like pace, confidence, and stress. It also saves past sessions so you can track improvement and get advice that fits you.

How we built it

We used Next.js for the app. We built views for transcripts, metrics, timelines, and run to run comparisons.

How we used the sponsored tools:

• Modulate: for voice analysis, provides you with metrics
• Airia: takes in your metrics to provide a user friendly improvement summary
• Lightdash: takes in your previous attempts for the dashboard/chart

Challenges we ran into

Connecting multiple APIs caused delays and inconsistent results. We had to tighten error handling and make the data pipeline more stable.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a full loop from practice to feedback to progress tracking in one place. Users get specific advice they can apply immediately.

What we learned

Fast, clear feedback matters as much as the analysis itself. Trust comes from consistent results and metrics users can understand.

What’s next for Voice Coach

Add user accounts and saved profiles across devices. Add more coaching modes like interview practice and presentation scoring.
