Inspiration

I visited accessibility office in Verizon Media and I watched video about disability collection https://www.verizonmedia.com/accessibility/disability-collection.

I want to help people who have disability to be able to achieve the dream of being photographer.

What it does

Control camera using CCAPI through Android phone.

How I built it

I used sample project from Canon developer community and added speech recognizer for API call.

Challenges I ran into

Internet communication may mislead my connection to other service. Lack of knowledge for hardware device.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I can control camera with my phone by voice.

What I learned

It is difficult for one person to create a perfect project within one day.

What's next for Voice Camera

Voice control for the remaining API functions. Image processing after taking the photo immediately with voice control. Added text recognition to avoid misleading from image and say it to the people who travel in other countries and unable to understand their language.
