Won "Best Use of Technology to solve a Healthcare Challenge Prize" at Hacking Health Hamilton Hackathon 2016 for this project.
The goal of the project is to improve lives of people with voice disorders such as dysphonia, throat cancer, hypothyroidism, laryngitis or anyone with a hoarse voice.
We (team of 2) first consulted with a speech pathologist to know more about the current technologies and problems faced by people suffering from such disorders.
While it was an ambitious idea at first, we were able to develop a prototype for "Real-Time Voice Signal Processing App" with very little knowledge of signal processing and android. We developed this by using a Java signal processing library and importing it in Android.
