Inspiration
COVID has brought the world one step closer to digital, and voice technologies (with Alexa and chatbots and more) are here to stay. Voice technology brings power to people who originally could have accessed it either at slow pace or not at all. This can be helpful for people with motor disabilities, arthritis or hand tremors or more.
What it does
It allows users to track and visualize their finances and where their finances are going towards — especially with voice.
How we built it
React + Speechly
Challenges we ran into
One major challenge was identifying a project and delegating tasks in a way that was inclusive. That way, the team would have been less likely to part ways, even though we started out together.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This was my first time incorporating speech into a project! Made it!
What we learned
I learned a whole lot about React and Context API and reducers and how to integrate Speechly API to manipulate what happens on the screen.
