Inspiration
I wanted to build something simple yet useful with just HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, so I decided to make a minimal dictionary app.
What it does
It lets you search any English word and shows its meaning, phonetics, and pronunciation audio in a clean interface.
How we built it
Using vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript along with the free Dictionary API.
Challenges we ran into
API calls and requests were a challenge but we figured out everthing in the end.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
A working and minimal dictionary app that feels lightweight and easy to use.
What we learned
How to use a public API, handle errors, and good UI/UX minimal but effective.
What's next for Vocablo
This can be scaled fo the real world as it is very useful.
