Inspiration

Small business owners often struggle to access business insights quickly while managing multiple tasks. We created VocaBiz to explore how voice-based interaction can make business assistance simpler, faster, and more accessible.

What it does

VocaBiz is a voice-first business assistant concept with a web interface. It aims to help users interact naturally with business information, explore useful insights, and simplify everyday business tasks through conversational assistance.

How we built it

We built VocaBiz as a web-based prototype with a user-friendly interface. We used web development tools to create the frontend and explored voice interaction and AI-powered assistance as core parts of the experience. The project is designed for future expansion with Amazon technologies.

Challenges we ran into

One of our main challenges was designing a simple interface while planning voice-based interactions and AI assistance. We also had to consider how to make business information easy to understand and how to handle AI requests reliably.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have developed the VocaBiz concept into a working web prototype and created a foundation for a more accessible, conversational business assistant. We also established a direction for future improvements and integrations.

What we learned

We learned about building web-based prototypes, designing user-friendly interfaces, and planning conversational experiences. We also learned the importance of reliable integrations, clear error handling, and testing features before presenting them to users.

What's next for VocaBiz

We plan to improve voice interaction, strengthen AI assistance, add more practical business features, and explore Amazon Alexa+ integration where supported. We also aim to improve reliability and investigate secure connections to real business data.

I collaborated with my teammate on the development of VocaBiz. We worked together on the code, discussed the project idea and name, planned the features, and improved the user interface and overall workflow. We shared ideas, helped each other solve technical issues, and tested the application. This collaboration helped us strengthen our coding, problem-solving, and teamwork skills while building a business assistant prototype.
