Hello, we are team vmex. We developed a health care program for the elderly. // We wanted to create a program that could help the elderly gain muscle strength and prevent memory problems, like dementia. // We focused on two methods. First, elderly people have a higher risk of falling down because their joints are weak. Therefore, we thought of an exercise that can be done effectively while sitting down. Next, we thought of a mini-game to improve cognitive abilities that elderly people can do while exercising. // The three main features of our project are the following.

Personalization: Users enter their physical and health information before the game starts. Gaming with VR: we got an idea from a rowing machine and thought of a game where users could move forward by pulling and pushing the device. Users can exercise effectively regardless of time and place. Mini-Game: Provides users with improved cognitive and memory function while doing physical exercise. // The difficulties we had before coming to Santa Clara, and ways to improve. In the past, moving the arms allowed the user to move forward at a constant speed, but now the degree to which the user moves forward varies depending on the number of rotations and strength. In addition, we inserted a puzzle game that is known to help improve cognitive ability. We developed a simple mini-game where the player needs to remember the number of passing cars. The user can hold and lift the puzzle pieces on the floor to complete the puzzle. // Let me introduce the things we want to improve in the future. By combining devices that can measure blood sugar, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation, users will be able to choose exercise intensity based on the individual's physical condition. Users will also be able to share their health records with their guardians or medical institutions. Next, it is known that the elderly are prone to depression due to social alienation and poor physical performance. To solve this problem, we would like to add a psychological therapy function. // This is our storyboard. // And I'll show you the demo video we made. When the game starts, the user enters his or her body and health information. After the game is over, users go to a space where they can check their records and share it with their friends. // Next, the user moves forward with upper body exercises and plays mini-games. // Finally, users go to a space where they can check their records and share their records. // We are very grateful to be able to work on this project with professors and students from Santa Clara University. We also want to thank N.light and Seongnam City for providing such a good experience.
