Getting Data from Sensors
Predicting Safe Result
Increased rate of breast cancer in Pakistan. Every year 90,000 cases are reported and 40,000 women die of this disease. This rate is on the rise every year which is an alarming fact.
What it does
It is a smart bra which detects the symptoms of breast cancer in early stages. It is connected with an app which gets data from various sensors installed in smart bra, and send it to the mobile app via Bluetooth and then the data sent is evaluated on a machine learning model.
How we built it
We built the prototype using various sensors and a microprocessor ( Arduino ), and mobile app to record the data. We have our ML model implemented via TensorFlow and its Lite version is installed in mobile to detect the chances of cancer.
Challenges we ran into
Bluetooth data transfer between sensors and application and conversion of ML model into lite version.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We have a developed prototype which is not only cost effective but is ready to go in market with some improvements in product design.
What we learned
ML incorporation in mobile and Data transfer between Arduino and an android app. In short, solving a real world problem via technology.
What's next for Vixen
We are planning to incorporate the awareness program in our app too. To scale this to all over Pakistan. We are working on our business model too. We plan to target every District hospital in Pakistan in order to spread awareness about the disease and to teach the women about the methods of self evaluation, especially using Smart Bra.
