  Distance formula used for the excel functions.

What it does

The sheet receives the longitude and latitude coordinates of two points on the planet and converts it to Cartesian points. With this, it is able to calculate the distance and travel time.

How I built it

Currently the distances and travel time are calculated on the excel programming using trigonometric functions to account for the radius of the earth. The distance formula was then applied to the Cartesian points to find the distances between points. Due to accepted percent error and the close proximity at which the points are at, the arc of the earth was determined to be within the acceptable range.
