Inspiration

There are things everyone needs to thrive and succeed in society -- one being a stable education. However, with the many problems of our current education system, it's not looking very bright for the future. In order to resolve these issues in the future to come, we, the current students, need to take action by spreading awareness first.

What it does

This interactable quiz lets users be briefly tested on how much they are informed about today's society, and additional information on what we could do to take action.

How we built it

I used a simple python program for my entire project to make a quiz that is easily accessible to the general public.

Challenges we ran into

Along the way, I ran into both many syntax and logical errors. Although syntax errors were easy to fix, logical took a bit more time. For instance, one specific example of a challenge I had was trying figure out how to make the program understand if an answer was correct or not; I went through a bit of trial and error and much testing before solving it out. Overall, it wasn't too difficult, and all I needed throughout coding was just some patience.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud that I was able to make something that was easy for users to take, as well as also bring knowledge to them and help people learn more about what education systems are like, and what we can do to improve it.

What we learned

Throughout the making of this program, not only did I learn more about the Python language itself but also about schooling systems and the effects that come from it. Even from some statistics I researched to make the quiz, I was shocked to see what I was reading; because of that, I had the idea that other people should be informed about this, too.

What's next for Issues with Today's Education.

My next steps in "Issues with Today's Education" is adding more statistics and questions for users to try out, and to add more possible solutions that people could take to improve education.
