This is written by a human, I am one of the people who has worked to make this

Inspiration

Being from India which is world's most populous country, we realize the layers and layers of bureaucracy that exist in order to run things. As magnificent as it is, it also allows for a lot of corruption. No matter whether you are a leftist or a rightist, the common problem with each and every citizen is of tax. And I would like to quote late ex prime minister, respected Rajiv Gandhi "Out of every rupee spent on the poor barely 15 paise reaches them." We wish to change that. God rest his soul.

What it does

VittaSutra sacrifices the decentralization, makes use of the immutability philosophy of blockchain to create an untamperable chain of records of the funds allocated by any ministry for any project right to the individual beneficiary. It pinpoints the source of error to absolute accuracy no matter the size of the population. Allows regular citizens and other government officials to bring to the front any and all instances of corruption.

How we built it

We used Vite for the frontend, node for backend, various libraries such as ethers and metamask to integrate with metamask and allow users to connect their wallet. And tons and tons of Stuff.

Challenges we ran into

We didn't know shit about crypto before building this. We're web developers. This idea made us come out of our comfort zone. This has been quite a journey.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

That we built something we actually wish to stand by. We wish to take this beyond just a hackathon project.

What we learned

We learnt that the project need not always be complicated. All that matters is how simply you can solve a problem and how many people can you benefit from it. And also a ton of new technology, but we'll forget that and have to study again.

What's next for VittaSutra

I don't really know, it may end up as an open source national international standard which countries adopt to earn the trust of their citizens or it may end up as a sass system used to maintain integrity in corporate.
