Inspiration

VitalPulse was born from the stark healthcare access gap in rural India, where 900 million people lack quality care. The vision was to leverage technology to empower these underserved communities, inspired by personal observations of misinformation and limited medical resources in rural areas.

What it does

VitalPulse is an AI-powered healthcare platform that connects rural Indians to quality care. It features an AI Symptom Checker for preliminary assessments, mental health support with guided videos and audio, doctor consultations via video with positive affirmations, a MythBuster to debunk health myths from the society, and secure prescription NFTs on Algorand. It offering a freemium model (2 free consultations/month, ₹399/month premium).

How we built it

We built VitalPulse using Bolt.new, a powerful low-code platform that accelerated our development process. Bolt.new enabled us to quickly create the responsive web and mobile interface, integrating AI features like the Symptom Checker and chatbot. We enhanced it with Supabase for authentication and storage and the Algorand SDK for NFT minting. The project is deployed on Netlify at https://botl-new-vital-pulse-ai-telemedicine.netlify.app/, showcasing Bolt.new’s seamless deployment capabilities.

Challenges we ran into

We embraced several Bolt.new challenges to shape VitalPulse. The Blockchain Challenge was tackled with prescription NFTs on Algorand, ensuring verifiable medical data for rural users, though mastering blockchain integration required effort. The Conversational AI Video Challenge was addressed by generating a Tavus video for mental health support, navigating initial setup complexities to create engaging content. The Voice AI Challenge involved producing ElevenLabs audio for the metal support, overcoming syncing challenges with the video. The Startup Challenge leveraged Supabase to scale authentication for millions, despite login flow debugging hurdles.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud of creating a comprehensive solution for 900 million rural users, combining AI, blockchain, and social impact using Bolt.new. Fixing the login flow and implementing MythBuster’s community-driven myth debunking are technical wins. The polished mobile interface and successful Netlify deployment showcase our execution under tight deadlines.

What we learned

We gained expertise in using Bolt.new for rapid prototyping and deployment, alongside Supabase integration and Algorand blockchain development. Managing authentication states and resolving UI bugs taught us resilience, while multilingual support highlighted the importance of inclusivity. The process reinforced the value of low-code tools like Bolt.new.

What's next for VitalPulse

Next, we plan to add offline capabilities for rural connectivity, expand language support to multilingual, and partner with local healthcare providers. We’ll integrate Tavus’ Conversational Video Interface (CVI) for real-time CVI during consultations, enabling AI to analyze visual symptoms like rashes or posture via video calls for enhanced diagnostics. Enhancing MythBuster with AI moderation and scaling NFT usage for patient records are also future goals, aiming to impact even more lives globally, all while leveraging Bolt.new for further development.
