Inspiration
Plant disease is a serious issue, especially in third world countries. Farmers can lose their entire crops and face bankruptcy and poverty if they are affected by these diseases. To deal with this, I decided to make an app to detect disease early on so farmers can identify and remove these plants to protect the rest of the crop.
What it does
Identifies plants with various diseases. Works on tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, and other cash crops.
How we built it
Used datasets from kaggel and trained using tensorflow.
Challenges we ran into
Making it work on the MecSimCalc environment. The system I was running on visual studio wasn't able to seamlessly translate to the platform's system as I was unable to create a similar developer environment. Working with tensorflow also proved to be a challenge!

Learned how to better work with tensorflow and python.
What's next for Vital-Eye
Re-working the environment to adapt to MecSimCalc so people can test and enjoy the build!
