Inspiration
VitaHealth is inspired to promote mindsets that see physical health importance.
What it does
Vitahealth scans barcodes on food products, and using the nutrient information Vitahealth uses AI to give feedback and advice for the user to continue on their physical journey
How we built it
We built Vitahealth using python coding language where we utilized the camera and the food around us to test barcodes. We pulled the barcode numbers from world. Openfoodfacts and then we imported OpenAI and api keys for ai for feedback
Challenges we ran into
Our coding went smoothly for some time but we would run into bugs every now and then where we would get stuck for a long time. We tried different solutions together until we finally find how to fix the problem
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Making the camera detect the barcode and show the nutritional facts were the hardest but when we finally finished making it the scanner, it is very useful.
What we learned
We learned how to utilize python with multiple people, learned how to organize tasks and how to work together.
What's next for VitaHealth
We have plans to expand on vitahealth for the future. We want to continue working on the project to add where you can further talk to the ai about your diet or nutritional intake.
