Inspiration

Two weeks ago, my mom underwent surgery. The other day, I was supposed to prepare lunch for her that wouldn't cause any bloating since it was painful for her. I felt I shouldn’t make the same dish as before, so I asked for recommendations to find a different meal. Initially, I didn’t have much luck, but eventually I found a recipe and spent an hour in the kitchen preparing it. Unfortunately, when I served it to her, she didn’t like it at all. So I decided I needed to come up with something much better. Here I am!

What it does

It suggests a variety of recipes from different cuisines that cater to the needs of patients or users, incorporating many filters to customise the experience.

How we built it

I built it with Python and Streamlit after cloning the disease repo.

What's next for Food Plex

I'm excited to enhance the app by introducing a more user-friendly way to interact with it and continuing to improve the suggested recipes. This will definitely elevate the overall experience!
