Inspiration

I always was a dreamer and was thinking how the book could go on in different way, and I liked to play the visual novels, so here is the idea that I wanted always to realize and to have the book visualization with possibilities, so what will happen if Rome and Juliet will just run away, or Harry Potter will not have a seat next to Ron Weasley? lets find out :)

What it does

Upload a book and with the agentic workflow the book is divided on scenes and each scene is animated with GPT image 2 and each scene is having audio like music and speaking persons. And you can make branches, branches are the alternative stories that could happen, for example the Odyseus is not returning by boat but by Airship.

How we built it

Hosted on AWS/Cloudflare, using the OpenAI models and music generation from GCP.

Challenges we ran into

to many, mostly my PC not having enough RAM. how to host cheaply, how to build the app, how to make UI look beautifully.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Image generation with GPT models + characters and them looking the same and added to the background, and general feeling is very good, if the chat with agent calling toools will work then that would be perfect but I have 1 h to deadline dunno if the codex will manage to do it ;D

What we learned

First time using Codex, I didnt know I had codex on my sub, I was always just generating some images in GPT Chat.

What's next for Visual Novel from Book

would be nice to add stripe and user management, then marketing for it and some enhancements.
