Nowadays, GPS technology is not enough to track people behaviour in closed environments.Also, lots of companies are loosing the opportunity to know better their clients and focus their campaign to their real target.
As it was a long 36 hours hackathon, we wanted to develop a product where we can learn and have fun using different technologies.
But a point we have it clear from the beginning, is that we also wanted to make a prototype that could be useful.
What it does
visitlytics, shows representations of the movements of the visitors inside a closed environment.
In that way, effective business decisions can be done based in the data provided, develop new marketing strategies based on customization.
The system can be integrated easily to the app of the store, event, congress, museums based on a demo app developed during the hackathon.
Challenges we ran into
The team had clear that wanted to do something related with indoor movement tracking. Despite that, we had changed completely our idea two times during the hackathon because of hardware limitation.
P.S. Do not try to triangulate positions using mobile phones as a router! Signal variate a lot during "save mode" present in new models.
