Inspiration
The inspiration behind Visionmap came from the desire to reimagine the traditional hypermarket experience by integrating convenience, technology, and customer-first service. In today’s fast-paced world, shoppers expect more than just variety — they want personalized service, seamless shopping, and intelligent inventory systems. We envisioned a place where families, professionals, and businesses could find everything they need under one roof, both offline and online — with speed, efficiency, and transparency.
What it does
Visionmap is a modern hypermarket platform that combines a robust physical store presence with a smart digital experience. Customers can:
Shop from a wide range of products including groceries, electronics, fashion, home essentials, and more.
Use a mobile/web app for online shopping with real-time inventory tracking.
Enjoy features like smart recommendations, express delivery, and in-store pickup.
Experience cashier-less checkout, digital payments, and live discounts.
Businesses can also buy in bulk with special pricing and GST billing.
Whether it's a daily grocery run or bulk shopping for events, Visionmap provides a smooth, connected, and delightful shopping experience.
How we built it
Visionmap was fully developed using Bolt.new — an AI-powered development platform that allowed us to rapidly prototype, code, and deploy our application with high efficiency. AI-Assisted Development with Bolt.new: We used Bolt.new as our core development environment. Its real-time AI coding assistant helped us: Scaffold and build the entire project structure. Quickly generate React components, Firebase logic, and utility functions. Write clean, functional code with context-aware suggestions. Reduce bugs and improve development speed by automating repetitive tasks. Frontend (React): The user interface was built using React, ensuring a smooth, responsive, and modular design for customers and administrators. Components like product cards, cart logic, checkout forms, and dashboards were all designed and refined using Bolt.new’s intelligent coding support.
Backend (Firebase): We integrated Firebase for:
Authentication – Secure sign-up/login for users and admins.
Firestore – Real-time database for products, orders, and user activity.
Cloud Functions – Logic for order processing and notifications.
Cloud Storage – Handling product images and invoices.

Challenges we ran into
Inventory sync: Ensuring real-time sync between physical stock and online inventory was complex, especially with returns and damaged items.
User trust: Building trust in online orders from a new hypermarket brand required excellent UI/UX and consistent delivery.
Logistics: Setting up a reliable delivery and fulfillment system, especially for perishable items, was challenging.
System scaling: Handling peak hours in both store and app without performance drops.
