What it does
It captures the image of surrounding by clicking a couple of time on the smartphone (no specific region) and returns back what the image contains ("hey, a car", hey a person")
Its a product used to assist blind people to navigate through places with mobile network coverage, basically a mobile apk that tells what's in front of him. with neural network (DNN algorithms)
How I built it
Build with Python and Neural network, front end with HTML, css, Js also android to build apk
Challenges I ran into
Image processing.... and neural network, the right combination to drive the project a living hell
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We have put together a decent project with 0.5 seconds to detect 30 different classes of items
What I learned
Do it right, nvr use shortcuts, it may save some time initially, but it's a pain later
What's next for Vision
Make it available fo the people for free, money doesn't matter, we as a human race, we need to help each other and improve ourselves. To access higher functionalities like reading signboard, or detecting relatives and personal customizations it will be charged an extra amount.
