Inspiration
Having a great yoga instructor is a boon, especially in a time after pandemic when people like to do things from the comfort of their homes. To bring yoga prowess in the palm of you hands, we bring our A powered app which has all the intelligence of a yoga guru in a digital avatar.
What it does
So keeping all this in mind we have designed an android app “Virya” an AI yoga instructor to help people to maintain the correct yoga posture. It will keep the record of their pose accuracy and predict the user’s fitness level on the basis of weekly yoga report. This analysis will help the user to be cautious and adjust their eating habits so as to complement yoga and result in overall health benefits.
How we built it
Real Time Pose Accuracy Detection
We have trained a neural network to detect the pose and tracking the accuracy of the pose. After calculating the accuracy will be shown to the user.
Weekly Report Analysis
We are storing the data of the daily pose accuracies and fitness score of the user. After analyzing the weekly data the suggestions of poses will be made such that the
Challenges we ran into
-Mobile device has a very limited compute resource, so making sure that posture detection is able to work on mobile devices was a challenge. We solved it by using Android ML Kit provided by android. -Live processing on cloud would have been very resource intensive and also a security threat to user, so we are processing live video data on device in real-time. This also helps us in conditions where there is unreliable internet.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- The app will be providing fitness-related poses and yoga asanas along with the tracking application. User can easily see their progress and stays fit.
- Once, the user take the subscription, the app will keep the track of user's progress over the week and provide them with some recommendation to improve themselves and with proper plans to follow.
- On the basis of user profile and their medical history and current problems, Recommendation of proper plan will also be provided.
- The premium users will also get the safety Measure feature in which the app will guide them to do poses in such a way that they won't get injured or imbalance.

- Work on the improvement of the Machine Learning Pose accuracy model
