  Virus Mask AR Effect

Inspiration

Trying the Spark AR interface I decided to create an AR instagram effect to promote the mask wearing to my relatives abroad.

What it does

It's an AR filter advocating the wearing of protective masks during the pandemic.

How I built it

I used 3 software: Blender to edit the 3D models, GIMP to edit the textures & Spark AR Studio to create the AR filter.

Challenges I ran into

This is my first AR effect for Instagram, it was very interesting process. It allowed me to test the Spark AR platform.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

My AR creation could help some people in the real world to avoid contaminations.

What I learned

The Spark AR interface is very intuitive and easy to use. Only the animation weight could represent some difficulties, i solved it by compressing the 3D models and textures before importing them.

What's next for Virus Mask Instagram AR filter

I will update this AR effect when I'll receive feedbacks.
