Inspiration
I was frustrated with the awkward transition from texting to meeting in person on dating apps, which is why I turned to virtual reality for a solution.
What it does
Like a classic dating app, you can set up a profile consisting of 2-3 videos that narrate hobbies, interests, or any interesting qualities about you. Once you start meeting people on the app, you can send invitations to organize "dates" within the app's supported virtual environments.
How we built it
I built it on Figma - it was my first time using Figma for a solo project, and I think this is the push that I needed to understand how the app functions.
Challenges we ran into
I definitely had to downsize a lot - I added a lot of supporting features but ended up focusing on making the profile, making connections, and the UI/UX for sending invites.
