Inspiration To come up with a technical solution to prevent wildlife crimes and enable the local authorities to contribute to wildlife safety
What it does Creates a web platform to allow citizen to report crimes when can then be solved and prioritized in an authority's dashboard. We have deployed AI algorithms to predict crimes as well
How we built it We built using HTML , CSS and integrated with flask and python. We deployed Support Vector Machine Learning to predict crimes.
Challenges we ran into Creating a real time database that can be updated by local communities and authorites
Accomplishments that we're proud of We have created a fully developed web app that integrates machine learning into it
What we learned we learned how to work in a team together for 2 days and get a solution to solve wilde problems
What's next for Virtual_Patrol We plan on integrating our web application with text based alternatives for people with low internet access as well.
