Inspiration

Vuframe offers a platform for sales enablement with 3D, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality for products.

Since many exhibition stands are already being planned in 3D and virtual tours are becoming more and more present, we thought “why not create a virtual showroom right away?“. We have already created a virtual showroom with customers and other exhibitors in the past: you can explore their latest products virtually - even without a real trade fair visit.

Now we are launching this as a full-blown production level platform, where companies can create and share virtual showrooms to present themselves and their products - virtually.

What it does

The Vuframe platform converts any CAD / 3D file into a 3D model which you can view and share on any device – in your browser, on your smartphone or tablet in 3D and AR – or on a VR headset. For companies, this offers the opportunity to convert their products and/or already planned exhibition booth into a virtual showroom despite the canceled event, which can then be made available to customers and interested parties. You can walk through the virtual showroom via several info points or you can retrieve product information by adding pictures, text, videos or 3D models of your products into it.

How we built it

We created a cloud platform that allows end-users to upload and use CAD / 3D files without programming skills and show them in 3D, Augmented & Virtual Reality.

Our cloud based studio and CMS enables anyone to create and share products and showrooms virtually - no coding required.

Challenges we ran into

Recuding the complexity of CAD / 3D files so they run smoothly and with good usability on all consumer devices, and in the browser. This is the main obstacle for AR and VR today and we are proud to say: we fixed it! Anyone can use it and files are Converted and reduced automatically up to 92% - this way they work on even very old devices!

Accomplishments that we are proud of

Our platform reduces CAD / 3D files up to 92% compared to the original file size and makes them secure at the same time.

What we learned

It is hard work to make AR & VR usable for companies. Data security and end-user usability are key obstacles no company can just overcome like that.

What’s next for Virtual Showroom

Since virtual solutions are currently in high demand, we are receiving more and more requests for virtual trade fair stands or shows. We hope many companies adopt it to keep their business productive and keep their sales up - even in times when meeting the customer is not possible!
