Inspiration
We wanted to create a space for children to explore and learn using images. This Virtual Museum also provides an opportunity for people with physical and educational limitations to experience a museum setting while learning.
What it does
The user can choose a topic from a list scraped from encyclopedia page links and can then walk around a procedurally generated area with various exhibits that have image and text displayed in the virtual environment. The content is scraped from the corresponding encyclopedia page to the topic.
How we built it
We used the Unity editor and Python web scraper to create a Wiki museum that scraped encyclopedia articles and displayed them in our virtual environment.

What's next for Virtual Museum
Some of our stretch goals were to add text-to-speech, dyslexic font, background music, and related tweet display options. We would also like to try creating Virtual Museums for other Wikis.
