What it does

We used the SSVEP paradigm to detect when users were looking at a specific flashing object onscreen.

How I built it

Challenges I ran into

  • Refresh rate of screen prevented us from using exact frequency
  • Not enough specs for VR
  • OpenBCI connection to Unity
  • Fast fourier transform insufficient to detect SSVEP, made me pretty miserable
  • Apparently fatigue increases alpha brainwaves
