We wanted to make registering at a hospital easier and more user-friendly.
What it does
It asks for all the essential information (name, age, phone number)
How we built it
We first used Python to rough code it and then I (Vijay) translated it into a Dynamic Web Project in Java EE.
Challenges we ran into
I (Vijay) wanted to connect a database to allow user login seem more fluid but I ran into problems with connecting the database to the project.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're really proud of the front end. We thought of creating a front-end to make it seem more user friendly (rather than a boring looking console)
What we learned
Hackathons are really fast-paced and test your application skills. I really thought I knew everything to create an application but there's much you find that you don't know while actually creating the application!
What's next for Virtual Medicinal Setup
Like we said above, we would love to set up a database so that patients don't have to register again and again. We also would like to expose our application as a web service so patients can access it over the web instead of downloading the application.
