Inspiration
One of our schools had a physical kindness wall often for students to share nice and endearing messages to each other. We decided to make a virtual one to be shared for the whole world.
What it does
Our wall allows for people to share kind messages around the world and say thanks to people. It also allows for anonymous, good interactions, keeping people connected in a positive way even in quarantine.
How we built it
We built it on repl.it using HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, and node.js.
Challenges we ran into
We had a lot of trouble figuring out how to add and save data.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of how it looks, and how we managed to overcome our challenges.
What we learned
We learned how to use node.js and do more backend development as well as more features of html and css.
What's next for Virtual Kindness Wall
-chat bot -login page to know who is speaking in chat (separate from anonymous one) -ability to flag a message if insulting -like button that will filter most liked quotes to the top -ability to add images and photos
