Inspiration

As there aren't always physical learning options, our idea allows students to study virtually while maintaining the resemblance of a classroom/study environment to help them focus better. Since there are existing VR programs for high school students, we designed a program specifically for college students. Our idea will maintain a familiar classroom environment but it will include study spaces and individualized learning.

What it does

Virtual Education provides a diagnostic-embedded digital learning space where college students can utilize AI learning to enhance their education and target their weak areas for growth. We have two methods utilized - Learning mode and Study mode. Learning mode allows students to follow along with a virtual professor and pause/replay if needed. It also lets them practice through example problems and receive extra help with the click of a button. Study mode allows students a calming place to study - so far we thought of a coffee shop and a library.

How we built it

We utilized multiple graphic design programs including Canva, Scratch, and Procreate to create our graphics effectively. We also used Google Slides to create our presentation.

Challenges we ran into

Because of the limiting options within our graphic design programs, we could not express our design to its fullest and had to make some minor changes. We also had some difficulties in designing the logo - specifically the color scheme and visual appeal.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of expressing our idea through graphic design, creating an informative presentation slide deck, and designing visuals for our idea. Not only were visuals tedious sometimes, but some graphic design software didn't contain the elements we were looking for. We're proud of working our way through these issues and locating suitable graphics.

What we learned

Throughout this process, we learned how to find graphics that encapsulate our ideas and incorporate them into our visuals. We also learned more about the hackathon process in general, even if we worked on an ideation.
