Inspiration
Modern social platforms generate massive amounts of content every second, making it difficult for users and moderators to quickly understand what truly matters. We were inspired by the growing problem of information overload, low-quality spam content, and time-consuming moderation workflows. ViralSense was created to help communities, creators, and moderators instantly summarize long posts, detect trending discussions, and understand viral content using AI-powered insights.
What it does
ViralSense is an AI-powered content intelligence and moderation platform that converts long posts into short, meaningful summaries within seconds. The platform analyzes social discussions, extracts key insights, identifies trending topics, and helps moderators review content faster. Users can quickly understand viral posts without reading large amounts of text, while communities benefit from smarter moderation and reduced information overload.

Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges was generating accurate summaries while preserving the original meaning of the content. Social media posts often contain slang, noisy text, emojis, and incomplete sentences, which made NLP processing difficult.
We also faced challenges with:
- Handling very large posts efficiently
- Reducing hallucinations in AI-generated summaries
- Detecting meaningful trends from noisy community data
- Optimizing performance for real-time processing
