Inspiration

I noticed that, despite an ever-growing thirst for authentic engagement, many social-media tools still churn out one‐size‐fits‐all posts that fail to cut through the noise. At the same time, creators and brands want lightweight, on-demand creativity without wrestling with complex UIs or pay-per-use APIs. That gap sparked the idea for ViralMuse—a lean, plug-and-play companion that combines best practices for virality with the raw generative power of modern AI models.

What it does

• Crafts Scroll-Stopping Hooks: Dynamically analyzes your topic and platform to write the opening lines that grab attention in the first second.
• Formats for Readability: Injects line breaks, emojis, and strategic hashtags so posts feel organic and resonate with each network’s culture.
• Offers Multiple Variations: Generates few distinct post drafts per request—so you can A/B test or pick the angle that best aligns with your brand.
• Suggests Visual Prompts: Supplies concise image ideas you can feed into any design or image-generation tool to boost visual impact.
• Respects Your Stack: Lets you plug in your own OpenAI (or compatible) API key and select the model you trust, storing settings in localStorage so you never lose your preferred config. Support for Anthropic, Gemini and Deepseek soon!

How we built it

With Bolt + Cursor for fine tuning

Challenges we ran into

• Having to question the need for a backend or will this better be a only frontend and use your own AI key instead.
• Balancing Creativity vs. Consistency: Early versions either felt too generic or too formulaic. I had to fine-tune the instructions so posts stay on-brand while still surprising readers.
