Creating engaging video content consistently takes time, effort, and multiple tools. From generating ideas and writing scripts to creating visuals and audio, the process can be overwhelming for content creators.

What it does

Viral AI was built to simplify this process by using artificial intelligence to help transform creative ideas into engaging, video-ready content. The goal is to make AI-powered content creation faster, easier, and more accessible.

How we built it

Viral AI combines modern web technologies with AI-powered content generation to streamline the video creation workflow.

We built the application using Next.js, Prisma, and AI APIs. The application generates content assets using AI models, creates visuals with image-generation services, and generates audio using text-to-speech technology.

The backend manages the generation workflow, coordinates different services, and handles the application’s data. We also integrated cloud-based media storage to manage generated assets efficiently.

Challenges we ran into

One of our biggest challenges was integrating multiple AI services into a single, reliable workflow. Each service has different requirements, response formats, and limitations.

We encountered API rate limits, which restricted how frequently we could generate content. We also faced issues with database initialization, media processing, and coordinating image and audio generation.

Debugging these issues helped us understand the importance of error handling, API management, reliable backend architecture, and designing applications around the limitations of external services.

What we learned

Building Viral AI gave us practical experience in integrating AI APIs into a full-stack application. We learned how to manage asynchronous operations, work with databases using Prisma, handle media assets, and troubleshoot issues across multiple services.

Most importantly, we learned that building an AI-powered product involves much more than connecting an AI model. It requires designing a complete workflow that is reliable, scalable, and useful to real users.

What's next for Viral AI

Our vision is to make Viral AI a more powerful content creation platform by improving video generation, expanding customization options, optimizing generation speed, and making the overall workflow more reliable.
