Inspiration
Before the outbreak of Covid-19, waiters and waitresses help customers to note down what they would like to order by pen or through an app in restaurants.
To facilitate restaurants to adjust to the new normal, we are building a speech-to-text ordering app that will allow customers to order food and drinks via speech, and the kitchen will be notified of the type and quantity of food and drinks required.
What it does
A speech-to-text conversion app
How we built it
Front-end development using html and css
Back-end development using flask
Challenges we ran into
None of us had experience in flask and we learnt from scratch. We encountered a bunch of bugs and the app is not running in the terminal
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built an app! (not functional though
What we learned
We learnt a lot about using flask for back-end development
