Inspiration
Viking Reborn grew out of dark Norse sagas and the idea of a warrior who doesn’t get the “honourable death” he was promised—used as a pawn, then sent back as something mythic and wrong.
What it does
The film follows a legendary Viking, betrayed and killed on a god’s orders, who returns with rune-like power and a single aim: climb back through traitors, cults and war bands to reach the one who marked him.
It’s a vertical fantasy-action story built around harsh landscapes, brutal duels and a revenge quest that feels more like a myth than a mission.
How we built it
We set a clear story spine: betrayal → death → rebirth → turn toward the god.
Armor, runes, environments and enemy factions were designed with AI image/video tools, with AI-driven sound and voice to support the “epic saga” mood.
Challenges we ran into
- Keeping his face, scars and armor stable across different models and shots.
- Making fights readable in a vertical frame—clean silhouettes, clear weapon arcs, controlled FX.
- Keeping violence stylized and mythic instead of drifting into pure gore.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We shaped a distinct undead hero with a recognisable rune-infused look.
We fit a full “fall and rise” arc into a short vertical format while keeping it visually large-scale.
What we learned
Strong silhouettes, simple armor lines and clearly defined weapons are crucial for fantasy combat in 9:16.
Magic reads best when it’s anchored to consistent visual anchors—specific runes, scars or items—rather than changing style every shot.
What's next for Viking Reborn
We plan to continue his path through new chapters: the war band sent to stop him, the cult serving the god, and the final choice of what kind of legend he becomes.
