Inspiration
We were inspired by the learning gap we see in Tier-2/3 cities and rural areas. Many students don’t lack intelligence — they lack personalized guidance and support in their own language.
We wanted to build something that makes quality learning accessible, not expensive.
What it does
VidyaSetu is an AI-powered personalized learning assistant.
It:
Adjusts difficulty level based on performance
Detects weak concepts using error patterns
Provides multilingual explanations
Offers a conversational AI tutor
Generates a personalized study plan
In simple words, the platform makes content adapt to the student.
How we built it
We built VidyaSetu using:
React / Next.js for the frontend
Node.js / FastAPI for backend APIs
Machine Learning models for gap detection and readiness scoring
LLM integration for multilingual explanations and doubt solving
A structured question bank + analytics engine
The system continuously tracks accuracy, time spent, and error frequency to personalize learning.
Challenges we ran into
Designing a real adaptive logic, not just static difficulty levels
Making explanations feel simple and natural in multiple languages
Structuring ML logic clearly within hackathon time
Keeping the UI clean yet informative
Balancing technical depth and simplicity was challenging.

Personalization is more complex than it seems
Data structuring is critical for AI accuracy
Simplicity in UX matters more than adding features
AI should enhance learning, not complicate it
We also learned how to convert an idea into a structured, deployable solution.
What's next for VidyaSetu
Improve the adaptive ML models
Add more regional language support
Integrate with school curriculum standards
Launch a beta version for real student testing
Collect feedback to refine personalization accuracy
Our long-term goal is to make VidyaSetu a scalable AI learning companion for underserved students.
