🚀 About the Project – VidyaSathi

VidyaSathi is a community-driven educational platform that bridges the gap between students, educators, and mentors by bringing them together on a single platform with AI at its heart. It's not just a resource-sharing hub – it's your academic companion, your wellness support, and your motivation booster, all in one.

💡 Inspiration

The idea for VidyaSathi was born out of our personal struggles as students. We constantly felt a lack of centralized, trusted resources and meaningful mentorship. Many peers dropped behind due to a lack of guidance, outdated material, or mental burnout.

We wanted to build the senior we always wished we had – someone to guide, support, and empower juniors through academics, projects, wellness, and community support.

🛠️ How We Built It

We built VidyaSathi using:

Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Tailwind CSS
Backend: PHP
Database: MySQL
Server: XAMPP
AI Chatbot: Integrated via secure API calls using environment variables

The architecture is modular and scalable. We implemented role-based authentication, allowing Students, Seniors, Moderators, and Admins to interact with features relevant to them.

🤖 AI Highlights

At the core of VidyaSathi is Veronica – our AI-powered student wellness and study companion:

Wellness Mode: Veronica listens, supports, and provides self-care tips for mental health
Study Mode: Veronica explains academic topics, breaks down concepts, and gives study hacks
Motivation Mode: Offers goal tracking tips, daily motivation, and time management strategies
Voice-enabled Chat: Speak to Veronica or get voice responses
Secure API Management: API key is stored in a .env file for privacy
