Inspiration
A lot of us like rewatching lectures from classes as it is more convenient, especially for commuters. However they lack the instant feedback that you have with asking professors, so we wanted to mimic that experience with a chatbot to solve that issue.
What it does
Our web app transcribes videos and prepends to an OpenAI query and allows users to ask questions about the video.
How we built it
We build it using typescript, react, and python.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into a lot of challenges with new technologies such as flask and react. It took a bit to do some research and do some documentation for this.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are accomplished to be able to get the transcript and bot to run.
What we learned
A lot of web design, back-end, and front-end development. Also, we learned about incorporating AI into a website.
What's next for VidExplainAI
We plan to improve the UI of the project.
