Inspiration
Motivations: Participate in a visualization hackathon, using a new programming language as Processing, and the challenge of working within a new domain of data such as supply chain.
How does it work: The visualization shows a graph of the nodes and edges from the supply chain of Cereal Co. The main goal is to allow the user to interpret the flow of stages in this particular business. This graph allows the user to: -identify the paths for each distribution node -show the total cost by distribution node -identify paths that are more time or cost consuming -obtain the specifics information of each node
How you built it: We used Processing and P5.js
What have you learnt: Working with Processing and a basic idea of how supply chain work.
Any challenges you ran into: Supply chain networks are a challenge itself as they require knowledge from different topics and in order to show a useful visualization it is important to know who the viewer is and what are the objectives.
