Inspiration :

As digital nomads ourselves, we often struggled to find trustworthy, quiet, and inspiring places to work from while traveling. Many platforms focus on tourism or accommodation, but none truly answer the question: “Where can I focus and feel good right now?” Vibing Advisor was born from this gap — to create a mobile-first companion that helps remote workers and nomads find the best spots to work, eat, or relax, based on real community feedback.

What it does :

Vibing Advisor is a companion app designed for digital nomads. It helps users:

Discover coworking spots, cafes, and other suitable locations based on real user experiences.

Share and bookmark places they’ve visited.

View those places on a collaborative map.

Stay inspired and connected with a like-minded community of travelers and remote workers.

The app is built mobile-first, allowing users to access essential features directly from their phones, anytime and anywhere.

How we built it :

We built Vibing Advisor using:

React Native with Expo for cross-platform mobile development.

Supabase for authentication and database management.

Google Maps API for map integration and geolocation services.

Bolt AI for rapid prototyping of UI flows and core navigation.

The app is deployed as a PWA (Progressive Web App), making it instantly usable on mobile browsers without needing installation.

Our approach prioritized speed and clarity, aiming to show a full prototype to clients while keeping the architecture clean and scalable.

Challenges we ran into :

Some of the key challenges included:

Ensuring compatibility across web and mobile while using Expo, especially with modules like react-native-maps which are not web-compatible by default.

Adapting Bolt's output to better fit our UX vision and brand identity.

Balancing the community-based discovery system with a minimalist and intuitive user experience.

Accomplishments that we're proud of :

Successfully creating a working prototype with smooth user flows and map integration.

Building a shared space where remote workers can find and share great spots globally.

Designing a unique and welcoming visual identity that matches the spirit of the nomad lifestyle.

Deploying the first usable version in under one month.

Technical limitations of hybrid mobile/web development with React Native and how to work around them.

What's next for Vibing Advisor :

We plan to:

Enable users to review and rate places with photos and vibes.

Add social features like following, commenting, and friend suggestions.

Implement offline mode and notifications for events or coworking meetups nearby.

Launch on iOS and Android app stores.

Grow a vibrant community of testers and contributors through early access invites.
