🌈 What Inspired Me

It all started with a chameleon.
My son loves them, and he also loves T-shirts with prints.
But every design I found online was either boring, or just not his vibe.

So I thought:
What if anyone could create a unique shirt, powered by their imagination — no design skills needed?

That simple idea sparked VIBE-WEAR.ai, a zero-code AI fashion store where people can turn their thoughts into T-shirt designs in seconds.

💡 What I Built

VIBE-WEAR is a web app where users can:

  1. Type a prompt – anything from “disco octopus” to “grunge alien eating pizza”
  2. Watch it turn into a T-shirt motif
  3. Preview the design on a shirt mockup
  4. Join the waitlist to buy it (future integration with Shopify + Printify ongoing)

Core Features:

  • Real-time image generation with OpenAI
  • Live mock-up previews
  • A beta-gate that unlocks after 3 generations or cart intent
  • Waitlist form with Supabase + Google Form integration
  • Full GA4 event tracking (generate_design, add_to_cart, etc.)

⚙️ How I Built It

  • Frontend: Bolt.new
  • AI: OpenAI GPT-IMAGE-1 (DALL·E as fallback)
  • Planned Fulfillment: Shopify Storefront API + Printify
  • Database: Supabase
  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4

I built the MVP in just two evenings — working from 9 PM to midnight after my kids went to bed.

🧩 Challenges I Faced

🖼️ Image Generation Quality

  • Connecting GPT-Image-1 was a tough not. DALL·E 3 Getting consistent, clean results from DALL·E's output is not the quality I was looking for and does not include reference images.
  • I developed prompt templates like “minimal vector illustration” and “1960s kids book style” for better results

🕒 Time Constraints

  • I work full-time and have two small children
  • So I “vibe-coded” late at night with a tight focus on UX and core functionality

🧠 What I Learned

  • Zero-code can go far. With tools like Bolt.new, every "idea-person" has now the power of a big corporate team
  • Vibe coding will redefine the UX practise. The way we work will change drastically. The focus now can be redirected to creating real value.
  • Shipping fast matters. A working MVP beats endless planning. Testing with real users is gold

  • Improve image generation with style presets and remix options
  • Run ad experiments to validate demand and collect feedback
  • Connect to Shopify + Printify for full automated fulfillment
  • Continue building in public
