🎵 VibeSync — AI-Powered Collaborative Playlist Generator

🚀 Inspiration

The idea for VibeSync was born out of countless group hangouts, study sessions, and road trips where choosing the perfect playlist that matched everyone’s mood always took way too long. We wanted to build something futuristic — a platform where your group’s collective mood could automatically generate a playlist that just gets you. No more arguments, no more skipping tracks — just pure sync.

🧠 What We Learned

Real-Time Mood Syncing: Learned how to collect and process group input data to train AI for vibe-based recommendations.
Firebase Integration: Gained in-depth knowledge of Firebase Firestore for playlist saving and real-time user interactions.
Bolt.new Framework: Discovered how fast and intuitive Bolt.new can be for building full-stack applications, especially when under a hackathon crunch.

⚔️ Challenges We Faced

Live Chat Implementation: Ensuring real-time updates between multiple users while maintaining minimal latency was a tough but rewarding challenge.
Mood Aggregation Logic: Translating multiple user inputs into a consistent vibe score for accurate AI playlist curation required careful UX and logic design.
Deployment Hiccups: Our Netlify deployment had issues recognizing environment variables during the first run — fixed with a proper .env setup and build script updates.
