🌟 What Inspired This Project - Beyond Music, A Mission for Humanity

I'm Enoch (@enokialive) — a Google certified product designer creating delightful & meaningful designs that impact lives and shape the future. But Vibes isn't just another music streaming app. It's a movement born from an urgent realization about our AI-powered future.

The Wake-Up Call: AI's Hidden Impact

When Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei warned that AI could eliminate 50% of entry-level white-collar jobs within the next five years, with unemployment potentially spiking to 10-20%, I knew I had to act. As he stated: "We, as the producers of this technology, have a duty and an obligation to be honest about what is coming. I don't think this is on people's radar."

The numbers are staggering - Big Tech hiring of new graduates has already dropped 50% since pre-pandemic levels, partly due to AI adoption. But here's what struck me most: most people have no idea what's coming.

This realization sparked not just the creation of Vibes, but an entire campaign to make people aware of AI's potential - both its incredible promise and its very real challenges.

This is why I created the Plead AI Campaign and the album featuring "Say Please or Plead" - because we're at a crossroads that will define humanity's future.

AI can unlock a better world for humanity—advancing health, creativity, and productivity in ways we've never seen. But without care and foresight, we risk missing the moment to guide it safely.

Around the world, people are saying "please" to AI—some out of politeness, others out of caution. But saying please alone won't prepare us for the shifts ahead—job disruption, misinformation, identity misuse, or the rise of convincing deepfakes and automated scams.

If we stay silent, we may find ourselves pleading for direction—after the systems have already been set.

AI is moving fast. While it brings incredible potential, it also raises questions that need thoughtful answers. The next leap forward could shape the world more deeply than we expect.

Making the Complex Accessible Through Music

Through Music, we can spread positivity in the world. But more than that - we can make complex AI concepts accessible to everyone. While experts debate in academic papers, I chose music as the universal language to reach people's hearts and minds about our shared future.

The inspiration for Vibes came from realizing we needed a platform that could:

  • Demonstrate AI's creative potential through an AI-built music platform
  • Raise awareness about AI's impact on society through accessible content
  • Provide a voice for everyone through our integrated track-chat system
  • Show what's possible when AI is used thoughtfully and responsibly

🚀 How I Built It with Bolt.new

The power of Vibe Coding

Building Vibes with Bolt.new was like having a senior developer who never sleeps, never gets tired, and can instantly materialize your ideas into code. Here's how I leveraged this incredible platform as a solo creator:

1. Rapid Prototyping Through Conversation

Instead of learning complex frameworks from scratch, I simply described my vision:

  • "Create a music player with real-time audio visualization"
  • "Build a responsive sidebar with navigation"
  • "Implement a chat system with a twist, emoji reactions and picker"
  • "Create a window where users can support AI safety initiatives"

Bolt.new transformed these descriptions into production-ready React components with TypeScript, complete with proper state management and modern design patterns.

Keep in mind, my personal & prompt engineering experience played a part in shaping the look and feel of the project. I also made follow-up prompts and everything is 100% Vibe Coded.

2. Complex Feature Implementation

The platform excelled at understanding my complex requirements:

Real-time Chat System:

My Prompt: "Create a real-time chat system for each track where users can comment and react with emojis while the music plays"
Result: Complete Firebase-powered chat with real-time updates, emoji reactions, and user-friendly interface

Powerful Music Player Integration:

My Prompt: "Build a comprehensive music player system with real-time audio playback, queue management, playlist creation, shuffle/repeat modes, volume controls, and track progress with seeking capabilities"

Result: Full-featured music player with sophisticated audio controls, seamless track transitions, playlist management, and all the essential features users expect from a modern streaming platform

3. AI-Powered Analytics Architecture

One of my proudest achievements was the analytics system that tracks user behavior patterns:

  • Anonymous user journey mapping
  • Real-time engagement metrics
  • Device and location analytics
  • Music preference learning
  • Petition engagement tracking

All generated through natural language descriptions to Bolt.new, resulting in solid analytics infrastructure.

🎤 The Live Launch Experience

The Plead Album Launch

The most incredible moment of this hackathon was when I launched my full Plead Album - Co-created with Suno AI and streamed it live on the Bolt Discord in the Voice Chat - Voice Connected group-hackathon-1. I shared my app screen and hundreds of fellow vibe coders listened and I loved the community's feedback!

This wasn't just a product demo - it was a movement launch. As we listened to "Say Please or Plead" together, the chat lit up with discussions about AI's impact, job displacement, and how we can build a better future together.

Building Community Through Music and Awareness

Throughout the weekend, I got to mentor and teach fellow vibe coders and share ideas on Discord. The most amazing part was when everyone listened to the songs together, creating this incredible shared experience of music, coding, and conscious conversation about AI's role in our future.

💡 What I Learned

1. AI Development Can Accelerate Awareness

Traditional timeline for building awareness campaigns: months of content creation, platform development, community building

The speed of iteration was mind-blowing. I could test complex ideas about AI impact, get immediate feedback from the community, and pivot the message quickly without losing momentum.

2. Technology as a Vehicle for Important Conversations

Building Vibes taught me that the medium is the message. By creating a sophisticated music platform with AI, I could demonstrate AI's positive potential while simultaneously raising awareness about its challenges. People experienced the future while learning about it.

3. The Power of Accessible Advocacy

The Track Chat system integrated into Vibes (Add yours. Enter "Say Please or Plead" and share your petition using the Track Chat feature) proved that complex policy discussions could be made accessible through familiar interfaces. Users could support AI safety initiatives while discovering new music.

4. Production-Ready Code Enables Real Impact

Unlike traditional prototyping tools, Bolt.new generated code that I could actually use to create real change:

  • Real-time engagement tracking
  • Scalable infrastructure for movement building
  • Accessible & Responsive design that works for all users

🎯 Challenges I Faced and Overcame

Challenge 1: Making Complex AI Issues Accessible

The Problem: How do you explain job displacement, deepfakes, and AI safety to people who just want to listen to music?

My Solution: Integrated storytelling through music and interactive features. The "Is That Me?" track about deepfakes became a conversation starter, while the track chat system let people share their POV.

Challenge 2: Building Trust While Raising Awareness

The Problem: People are skeptical of "fear-mongering" about AI, especially from someone building with AI.

Bolt.new's Help: By demonstrating AI's positive potential through the platform itself, I could show both sides - the incredible possibilities and the need for thoughtful development. The platform became proof of concept for responsible AI use.

Challenge 3: Creating Engagement Beyond Entertainment

The Problem: How do you move people from passive music consumption to active participation in shaping AI's future?

Innovation Through AI: Bolt.new helped me architect seamless transitions from music discovery to social action. Users could go from enjoying "Say Please or Plead" and sharing their view in the same platform.

Challenge 4: Scaling a Movement Through Code

The Problem: Traditional PSA requires massive organizing efforts and infrastructure.

AI-Optimized Solution: Bolt.new generated systems that could scale movement & participation.
