Inspiration

As a self-taught developer, I’ve always been driven by a passion for problem-solving and the belief that technology can create real, positive change. I spent countless hours learning to code online—building small projects, taking on challenges, and diving deep into languages and frameworks. But as I pushed toward more ambitious goals, like creating my own mobile app to solve real world problem, I started to feel the limitations of building alone.

There was no roadmap. No clear path. I often struggled with complex topics like algorithms and systems architecture without mentorship or structured guidance. I made progress—but it was slow, and full of roadblocks I knew I could overcome faster if I had access to others who had walked the same path.

One of the biggest lessons I learned is this: building in isolation is not sustainable. Creativity thrives in community. That realization planted the seed for Viberbase—a platform where creators using AI tools like Bolt, ChatGPT, or Midjourney can share not just what they built, but how they built it.

Social media is noisy. GitHub doesn’t capture visual or prompt-driven workflows. AI builders are everywhere—but disconnected. Viberbase is built to change that.

It’s a place to:

  • Explore AI-powered projects
  • Remix and reuse prompts
  • Learn from real-world examples
  • Build a personal portfolio
  • Grow through community feedback

I wanted to create the platform I wish I had—where people like me could find inspiration, discover techniques, and level up faster by learning from one another.

Viberbase isn’t just about showcasing projects—it’s about amplifying what’s possible when we stop building in silos and start building together.

What it does

Viberbase is a platform where creators can:

  • Share AI-powered projects (code, images, videos, and prompts)
  • Showcase work with a personal portfolio page
  • Bookmark and comment on others’ creations
  • Explore how AI is used across fields

Each post includes the tools used, the prompt (if applicable), and the final output—so others can learn or replicate it.

How I built it

  • Bolt for local development tooling
  • ChatGPT for ideation, debugging, and architectural guidance
  • Next.js App Router for the frontend
  • Supabase for auth, data, and storage
  • ShadCN UI for clean, responsive design
  • TypeScript for safety
  • Netlify for deployment
  • IONOS for domain and email

Challenges I ran into

  • Stuck in error loop
  • Supabase auth requests flooding on load
  • Slug duplication and route conflicts
  • Deployment and environment variable issues on Netlify

I solved the error loop by stepping back and using Bolt’s "discussion" mode to break the problem into smaller pieces. Debugging became a conversation, not frustration.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

  • A polished MVP built from scratch by a solo founder
  • Real-time bookmarking and a shareable portfolio system
  • A fast, responsive UI that works across devices
  • Fully functional auth and content flow using Supabase

What I learned

  • How Bolt's fast local development environment helped me iterate quickly without setup headaches
  • That pairing Bolt with ChatGPT turns coding into a true dialogue—ask, build, fix, repeat
  • The value of good UI frameworks like ShadCN in turning ideas into beautiful interfaces fast
  • That sharing not just the output, but the process, makes AI more meaningful to the world

What's next for Viberbase

  • AI-powered tagging and smart discovery
  • Top creator leaderboard and trending prompts
  • Embeddable public APIs
  • Templates for common AI workflows
  • Creator monetization (premium prompts, tutorials, assets)

I’m just one person—but I believe tools that empower many to share their process will drive the next wave of innovation.
Viberbase isn’t just where you post what you made with AI—it’s where the next person learns how to make something even better.
