Inspiration
The communal experience on reddit is fun, when people keep adding memes and contributing to the discussion threads. What if we turn this behavior into a poem creation process, so that participants can all expressed themselves on the current pulse of the world and lead to a daily poetry ritual. Not only that, we are using the "Skinny poem" to ensure a simple outcome that is accessible to all.
What it does
Redditors vote on the key sentences and words daily, and the system would tally the vote and generate the final skinny poem. We are also incorporating everyone's mood through a unique voting mechanism!
How we built it
With the bolt.new and devvit starter pack, after a lot of prompts and tears the app was deployed on the subreddit. We needed multiple projects to run parallely to solve this!
Challenges we ran into
The authentication system of reddit kept saying one of us is robot. The bolt.new is already great but could stumble on certain request at times. It can overcorrect pretty easily!

From a basic lurker of reddit to an actual developer to deploy a functional app on reddit!
What we learned
The way of prompting in the age of vibe coding. The mindset to pivot and accepting new ways of building. The feel of creating an app from scratch.
What's next for vibepoem
We want to make the initial phrase being inspired by daily news, and incorporate the LLM to help with more flexible and poetic word plays. We also want the poems to become more abstract yet meaningful!
