Inspiration

Our inspiration is our shared love of music. We spend a lot of time making our own playlists to curate to our own emotions. This app would allow us to have an understanding on what songs are common to those emotions.

What it does

Vibeify curates a customized playlist for the user, utilizing the most frequent songs in public playlists with the same keyword in their title. This app creates a unified experience that the user wants to have.

How we built it

We built this using the spotify API, python and flask.

Challenges we ran into

There were challenges implementing a spotify API into a fullstack program. In addition, implementing front end provided challenges.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud of our UI design, and we are also proud of being able to implement a fullstack program with limited skills.

What we learned

We learned how to utilize the spotify API, and we learned how to use flask.

What's next for Vibeify

Create a custom image for the playlist based on their keyword. Implement genre filters. Provide a more interactive visualization while the tracks load. Create custom playlists that slowly transfer between two keywords.
