Inspiration

I wanted a single space where designers could find tools, jobs, resources, and inspiration- everything without hopping across 10 different tabs. There are similar directories like toools.design and a few others I took inspiration from.

What it does

Vibedesign.tools is a curated directory where designers can discover tools, tutorials, jobs, and even submit their own finds to be featured. It also has a dedicated space for like-minded designers to connect with.

How I built it

Built it fully using Bolt(I am in love with it!). It made it really easy. First I started building it with static data and then I used supabase to make it fully dynamic. Every resource on the platform plus blog posts come dynamically now. I have also created an Admin panel which is used primarily to help curate data. Also, this directory is designed to be optimized for SEO - something I learned a bit and never got to apply earlier in my career!

Challenges I ran into

Backend felt overwhelming to work with but thanks to Bolt discussions, I was able to chat and follow instructions that made it easy.

Accomplishments that I am proud of

I am proud of what I could build in a weekend which I was very much interested in building and felt like it could take forever.

What I learned

I learned that the AI has made a real difference and English is the new programming language. I'd love to keep building on top of this!

What's next for Vibedesign.tools

I'd like to come up with weekly newsletters and a curated list of everything that I have added currently just to get this up and running and share it across my designers network.
