Inspiration
i noticed that many people who dream of starting or growing their YouTube channels often struggle with video editing. They have great ideas and creativity, but editing tools are often too complex, time-consuming, or expensive. This inspired me to build VibeCut Video Studio — a simple, colorful, and beginner-friendly video editing platform that helps creators turn their ideas into stunning videos without any professional editing knowledge. My goal was to make video creation accessible, fast, and fun for everyone.
What it does
VibeCut Video Studio allows users to easily create scripts and videos — all from one intuitive interface. The design of it focuses on simplicity — so even first-time creators can produce professional-looking videos within minutes.
How we built it
I built VibeCut Video Studio using:
- HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the front-end interface
- Writer, Rewriter, translator and Proofreader API.
Future integrations planned with Google Drive API and YouTube Upload API for direct publishing
Challenges we ran into
Some major challenges included:
- Understanding the APIs and the concepts behind them.
- Making the web page styling better.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Successfully creating a fully functional, ai script and video generator
- Designing a colorful and intuitive UI that resonates with young YouTubers and content creators
- Making video editing accessible for beginners who don’t have expensive software
- Turning an everyday problem into a creative, impactful solution
What we learned
Throughout the development, I learned how to:
- Manage user experience (UX) design for creative tools
- Combine creativity with technical problem-solving to make a product that feels both powerful and playful
What's next for VibeCut Video Studio
Next, I plan to:
- Integrate AI-based features like auto-captioning, scene detection, and background music recommendations
- Allow cloud-based saving and exporting directly to YouTube
- Add collaboration tools so creators can co-edit projects online
- Create a mobile-friendly version for on-the-go video editing
