Inspiration

We wanted to build AI that doesn’t just reply—but actually understands. VibeCode AI was inspired by moments when people need empathy, not just answers.

What it does

VibeCode AI understands emotions from text and voice, then responds in a calm, supportive, and human-like way.

How we built it

We combined a React frontend, FastAPI backend, Gemini AI for emotion understanding, and MongoDB for conversation history.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating emotion analysis, handling real-time responses, and managing API and database issues tested both our patience and problem-solving skills.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Building a fully working emotion-aware AI assistant with real-time interaction and a polished user experience.

What we learned

AI feels most powerful when it’s empathetic. We also learned how important system design and error handling are in real-world projects.
